Hiring Process for Support Staff

Individuals wanting to work as a clerk, receptionist, legal secretary, paralegal, interviewer, investigator or disposition specialist in our office apply for employment by:

  • mailing a resume and completed State of Florida employment application, which can be downloaded from this web site. Please send to the attention of our personnel division at the address below.
  • calling our personnel division at (305) 545-1929 to pick up an application or have it mailed.
  • e-mailing their resume to resumes@pdmiami.com. (Please attach resumes to the e-mail message, and only send documents saved as Microsoft Word or WordPerfect formats.)

When positions are available, qualified applicants may be invited to a preliminary screening interview. During this interview, they are evaluated and may be invited back to participate in a panel interview. The panel may recommend a candidate for the position.

Once an individual has been selected to fill a position, the office verifies the candidate’s references and conducts a background check with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
