Miami-Dade Public Defender Bennett H. Brummer speaks on human rights at Caribbean conference in Barbados

Miami, FL — June 14, 1999 — Miami-Dade Public Defender Bennett H. Brummer spoke on the public defender’s role in protecting human rights last month in Bridgetown, Barbados. His presentation was part of a regional conference on human rights and the Caribbean sponsored by the Inter-American Institute for Human Rights and the University of the West Indies.

The institute is an international organization based in Costa Rica and dedicated to the promotion and protection of human rights in our hemisphere.
