County Court Division And Participating Law Firms
The Ensuring Equal Justice Initiative (EEJI) began initially in
the County Court Division of PD-11. A core group of private law
firms including Baker & McKenzie, Greenberg Traurig, Hogan & Hartson
(now Hogan Lovells),
Hughes, Hubbard & Reed, Jorden Burt, and Shook, Hardy & Bacon
offered their support and answered the call to participate in EEJI
as one mechanism to address the excessive caseload at PD-11. The EEJI provides participating firms and attorneys a unique venue for
providing their associates with valuable litigation experience and
training while
also donating pro bono legal services in fulfillment of their
Florida Bar pro bono requirements. Our clients continue to benefit
from the time and attention the pro bono attorneys dedicate to the
criminal cases assigned to them through the EEJI.
